Grandpa died in 1988 right after the baby was born. So they bought the plot, and buried him and then had Grandma’s name and birth year added. For years we would go, and I remember standing in this exact place with her looking at it. And she would talk about how weird it was to look at her own grave.

In September of this year, roughly 75,000 of the planet’s most discerning nerds packed up their monogrammed totes and made the yearly pilgrimage to the PAX Gaming Expo in Seattle, Washington. They stuffed themselves into the Washington State Convention and Trade Center for three glorious days of unadulterated videogame playing, discussing, watching, and pontificating. In between all that, they napped.
